Lagos City Marathon: Organizers Working On Quality Delivery

Organizers of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon have said that the 2021 edition of the event will still maintain Its quality despite the reduction in number of runners and individuals involved due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hon. Bukola Olopade, Managing Director of Nilayo Sports Management Limited, NSML, Right owners of the event in an interview confirmed that the reduction in the numbers of personel is an attestation that everyone involved in staging the silver label event is paying priority attention to the world trend as regards the Covid-19 pandemic.
Honourable Olopade added that the modus operandi of the Lagos City Marathon for this year will be in line with what is applicable to other events around the world.
He said “Although with a reduced number of athletes, the excitement might decrease but our burning passion would see us deliver a massive marathon race in February, we are taking note of what is happening everywhere in the world and come February 13, we will put in place measures that will stand us out as we have always done”.
The 2021 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon where three hundred athletes will be on the road for the prize money will also serve as qualifiers for the olympic games.
The race will be broadcast live on Television and multi media channels to ensure people are not on the street to cheer the runners.
All runners, workforce, auxillary workers, security and others will get a booklet of dos and don’ts of the race, from the office of the race’s general manager, baring in mind the novel coronavirus
