It is another Saturday ushering in a weekend of exciting football actions across leagues around the world.

From England to Scotland, Spain to Italy, Germany to Austria, Belgium to Netherlands, there is no shortage of frenzy football moments.

In the English Premier League, a weakened Liverpool side look to extend their fantastic Merseyside Derby record when they face Everton today.

Liverpool may have returned to winning ways in Budapest on Tuesday but they could find it difficult when they clash with arch rivals Everton on Saturday.

The reigning Premier League champions have won just two of their last ten games in the competition and their 3-1 loss at Leicester last weekend resigned them to a third consecutive defeat for the first time since 2014.

For Everton, this marks the perfect opportunity to end years of disappointment in the Merseyside Derby.

The Toffees haven’t beaten Liverpool since 2010 and they haven’t won at Anfield since 1999, but recent encounters haven’t been as one-sided as this record suggests.

In the German Bundesliga, newly-crowned world club champions Bayern Munich make the trip to Frankfurt in search of three more points.

Frankfurt won 2-0 at home to Cologne last time out and sit 3rd in the Bundesliga table heading into a tricky home game against the champions. Bayern Munich could only manage a 3-3 draw at home to Bielefeld in their last league game, but that match arrived very soon after the FIFA Club World Championship that was held in Qatar and the Bayern players were jaded.

Bayern have a really good record against Frankfurt, winning 59, drawing 21 and losing 22 of the pair’s previous 102 encounters. The German giants have claimed six wins from their last seven games against Frankfurt.

In the Spanish La Liga, Atlético Madrid will be seeking to get the better of Levante this time around as the two sides meet for the second occasion in four days.

Atleti are favourites to overcome Levante this weekend despite the 1-1 draw between the sides in Wednesday’s re-arranged reverse fixture.

Los Colchoneros are impossible to oppose at Wanda Metropolitano after 17 wins and five draws from their last 22 starts here,

Granotas appear likely to come off second best on this occasion, but they can cause problems for an Atleti backline that’s looked nowhere near as solid in recent weeks.

In the Italian Serie A, Lazio are aiming to continue their brilliant run of form at home when they welcome Sampdoria to Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio saw their six-game winning streak broken when they lost at Inter Milan last weekend, but Simeone Inzaghi’s men should continue their strong home form ahead of the visit of Bayern Munich.

Lazio have won each of their last five home league games, a run which stretches to six if you include their recent Coppa Italia win.

Lazio are unbeaten in their last 14 home games against Sampdoria in Serie A (W11 D3), while the visitors have lost almost half of their games on the road this term.

Amidst this flurry of  actions across leagues in Europe, we have carefully picked a few matches in this Straight Wins ACCA tipping the home and away favorites to triumph against their opponents.

These selections have been made based on available H2H stats and current forms of the selected teams.
