Match day eleven fixtures will take centre stage today in the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, following the trend, there is a possibility of having shocking results in some match venues today, my picks below.
MFM vs Adamawa United.
The church boys will hope to bounce back from two consecutive loses after their disappointing home loss to Heartland was followed by the 1-0 defeat suffered at Kano Pillars.
On the part of Adamawa United, they are 20th on the log, they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by FC Ifeanyi Ubah the last time out so it should be an easy ride for the Church boys in Lagos. MFM to win this.
Sunshine Stars vs Heartland.
Two sides that are comfortable playing anywhere whether home or on away soil, Sunshine will be basking on the Euphoria of picking a point at Wikki Tourists last weekend while Heartland will hope to pick up from their 2-0 win over Lobi Stars, however, Sunshine Stars are the team with momentum and will not want to drop more points at home at this stage. A win for Sunshine Stars.
Abia Warriors vs Warri Wolves
Imama Amapakabo tutored Abia Warriors started late though, but for a team that defeated Rangers 1-0 the last time out, beating fellow relegation battlers Warri Wolves who are 19th on the log should not be an issue, the home side will take this.
Lobi Stars vs Kano Pillars
The two teams on their days can score goals, even though Pillars have picked points on the road this season, it will be dicey betting against a wounded Lobi that lost to heartland recently, while it’s almost certain that Lobi will get at least a point in the game, Kano Pillars with Nyima Nwagua, Rabiu Alli and others can score goals, so my selection is Over 1.5
Enugu Rangers vs Kwara United
Rangers are coming off a defeat at Abia Warriors and they face table toppers Kwara United who have amassed 21 points in 10 NPFL games this season, it may end all square, but both teams will likely score so my safe take is Over 1.5
FC Ifeanyi Ubah vs Katsina United
FC Ifeanyi Ubah may not be everyone’s favourite at this point in time, but the best way to get out of the relegation battle is to gradually win games and amass points anywhere, they were able to get a 1-1 draw against Adamawa United last time out and this time against a tricky Katsina United who pipped Jigawa Golden Stars 1-0 last time out, Coach Uche Okagbue must set his boys out to get the job done at home. I see a slim FC Ifeanyi Ubah Victory.
