Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu amongst Top Dignitories To Grace The Olukoya Basketball Cup

The Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwoolu, will be attending the final of the 3rd Dr & Dr (Mrs) D K Olukoya Women Basketball championship in Lagos.

The tournament is sponsored by Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, and is held annually to celebrate his birthday and that of his wife, Dr. Shade Olukoya, who share the same birthday on July 15.

The final match will feature two MFM teams: MFM Women Basketball Club from Lagos and MFM Bayelsa from Bayelsa State. In the semifinals, MFM Bayelsa Youth Church team defeated Sunshine Angels of Akure with a score of 44-42, while MFM Lagos narrowly secured their spot in the final with a close 47-46 victory over Tap Queens from Ogun State.

The losers of the semifinals, Sunshine Angels and Tap Queens, will compete in the losers’ final match scheduled for 11 am.

In addition to trophies, medals, and other individual awards, a prize pool of over N2 million will be shared among the top three teams.

The championship has attracted some of the best women’s basketball teams from all over Nigeria, making it a highly competitive and exciting event.
