Jerjer Gibson Set To Play For Liberia

Harrisburg Heat Liberian born US forward Jerjer Gibson has announced his intentions to represent Liberia at international stage ahead of international windows in September this year.

The 32-year-old, who was born in Monrovia – Liberia to Liberian parents, has played for several professional clubs in the United States of America and yet to make an International debut with the US Men National Team.

” There were a lot of communications back home, people asking me to represent Liberia, I mean family, friends and a few football people in Liberia, It took me several years to finally make this decision, I am optimistic, this is the best decision.” Gibson added.

“Jerjer switch is a boost for Liberia and with his experience, he will add a lot to the National team, ” says Justin Flomo, a Senior LIberian Sport Journalist.

Following his switch, Gibson would likely make his debut for the Liberian National Team after official clearance from FIFA and the Liberia Football Association before the September international break.

He has played with Virginia Beach Piranhas, Virginia Beach City FC , Syracuse Silver Knights, Syracuse FC, St. Louis Ambush, among others.
