 Supersport endorse Governor Wike Pre Season Tourney

Arrangements have been perfected for Supersport to cover the second edition of the Governor Wike Pre Season Tourney.

This was revealed by Competition Coordinator, Bashir Badawiy to newsmen on Thursday.

According to him, the partnership would see the world class Supersports giving the tournament the required coverage.

“Supersport a world class entity has agreed to cover the second edition of the Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament,” Bashir Badawiy said.

“This is another great step in the right direction in ensuring that the Governor Wike Pre Season Tourney is given the required publicity it deserves.

“We are indeed grateful that this is happening, expect fireworks in Port Harcourt when the event takes place.

It would be recalled the Sunshine Stars won the first edition of the Governor Wike Pre Season Tourney.

This year’s competition is expected to last for 10 days and would have 16 teams in attendance.

Top teams like Enyimba, Kano Pillars, Enugu Rangers, River United, Akwa United, Abia Warriors, Wikki Tourists, Warri Wolves, Kwara United, Nasarawa United, Bendel Insurance and Remo Stars have been pencilled down for the tournament.

Date for the event will be announced as soon as the Presidential Task Force (PTF) lift ban on contact sports.
