Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Ejidike preaches love, peace at Christmas, New year

Nigerians have been admonished to imbibe the spirit of love, care and giving in this period of yuletide even as the nation totters on the precipise of economic depression.

The Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, J.P preached the gospel in his Christmas and new year message .

In a statement made available, Chief Ejidike sounded that the year 2020 recorded worst calamities in death rate, economic progression, health crises that resulted in pandemic, insurgency in form of bandits, herdersmen and farmer clashes, kidnapping and all kinds of vices which almost crumbled the nation .

However, the sports philanthropist said we still have the cause to glorify God who allowed all these tempests.

May your Christmas be graced with peace, joy, and blessings! Merry Christmas to you!

Hope this festive season will bring good luck and good health for you and your family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

He added that with the ingredients of love as exhibited by God who gave His only begotten son Jesus Christ for redemption of mankind whose birth the world is celebrating, we should show love to one another and peace will reign supreme.

Ejidike prayed “May you receive all that you desire for and dream for. May this Christmas bring you all that you need in life. Merry Christmas! And best wishes for a healthy, happy, and peaceful New Year. “

The Nigeria Pillar of Sports advise that one symbolic lessons of Christmas is preaching love, sharing gifts and care for the less privileged, hence the need for us to be our brother’s keeper.

In the world of sports,  he lamented how Covid-19 had stalled all major tournaments and sporting events particularly National Sports Festival and our leagues; however, he said there were few moments of celebration as epitomized by the hard- working Minister of Sports, Hon. Dare Ojo honoured notable sports heroes as well as Nigerian born Anthony Joshua who knocked out Kubrat Pulev to edge closer to dream fight against Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua floors Kubrat Pulev three times in a spiteful and vicious performance that earned him the world title.

It would be recalled that Anthony Joshua brutally knocked Kubrat Pulev out in the ninth round of their world heavyweight championship fight at The SSE Arena, Wembley.

Ejidike counselled sports men and administrator to consider this year as  a year designed by God to teach some moral and spiritual lessons in which case we should learn to give God honour and worship.

He prayed that year 2021 will be a blessing to all.
