It’s another Sunday offering exciting football actions across leagues in Europe.

In the English Premier League, Chelsea hope to maintain their unbeaten run under Thomas Tuchel when they host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel’s unbeaten start to life at Stamford Bridge continued with an excellent 1-0 win over La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid in midweek, but on Sunday he faces his biggest test in the Premier League so far as Chelsea host Manchester United.

Chelsea have undoubtedly shown huge improvements since the run of one win in five games that saw Frank Lampard sacked, but against a side boasting an incredibly impressive away record they might find it difficult to return to winning ways after their draw at St Mary’s last weekend.

Italian Serie A heavyweights,  Roma and AC Milan clash at Stadio Olimpico.

These two sides both progressed in the Europa League on Thursday, but neither look convincing going into this big top-four showdown on Sunday.

AC Milan may be in the title race, but they’ve fallen to second after consecutive Serie A defeats. The Rossoneri have failed to win in four after drawing both legs of their Europa League clash with Red Star.

However, Roma aren’t well-placed to take advantage. The hosts have failed to beat any side in Serie A’s top eight (D4 L4). Despite that, they’ve collected the most points at home in Serie A this season (30), going unbeaten here.

In the Spanish La Liga, leaders Atlético Madrid are under pressure to get a positive result against Villarreal after claiming just five points from their last four league games.

Whilst Villarreal triumphed in their recent UEFA Europa League tie, no team across Europe’s top five divisions has recorded more top-flight draws this season than the ‘Yellow Submarine’ (13), so figuring out how to finish games off in La Liga action remains a priority. That’s especially so as a six-game winless La Liga run (D1, L5) is putting their top-six aspirations in jeopardy.

In normal circumstances a match vs the league leaders would be a daunting prospect, but Villarreal welcome an Atlético Madrid side that’s showing weaknesses and that’s won just one of their last four La Liga fixtures (W1, D2, L1).

In the German Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen aim to complete a league double over Freiburg at the BayArena.

Bayer Leverkusen won a six-goal thriller at Freiburg earlier in the season and their rematch at the BayArena could be another high-scoring contest.

That 4-2 victory at Freiburg is one of many entertaining encounters featuring Bayer Leverkusen this season, and there have been plenty of goals in their recent matches to suggest this could be another classic too.

Leverkusen’s 11 home games this season have seen 38 goals – an average of 3.45 per match – and with no clean sheet in ten league games, more thrills and spills appear likely.

Amidst this flurry of  actions across leagues in Europe, we have carefully picked a few matches in this Straight Wins ACCA tipping the home and away favorites to triumph against their opponents.

These selections have been made based on available H2H stats and current forms of the selected teams.
