MFM record first ever victory over Enyimba Int’l

MFM record first ever  victory over Enyimba Int’l

For the first time in their history, Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries FC beat seven-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Enyimba, 1-0 in Matchday 15 rescheduled fixture played on Thursday at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium.

The Olukoya Boys bounce back to winning ways as they boost their chances of survival with the win over the visitors after three consecutive defeats to Akwa United, Rivers United and Kano Pillars.

Before the match, Enyimba were on eight games unbeaten run in the league but they failed to beat the Olukoya Boys as Ebenezer Odeyemi earned his team the crucial win with a 22nd strike.

Speaking after the game, MFM FC interim coach Gabriel Olalekan showered praises on his team for the crucial victory over Enyimba.

“It was a tough game but I must give kudos to my boys for their performance today.

“ I think everyone is excited with this victory and I’m as well too because it’s an important one. We were at 17th position on the league table before the game but now we have moved to 14th spot.

“We just have to build on this victory as we approach other matches with the right mentality and I believe the sky will be our starting point.

The win has taken MFM to 14th place on the log  with 20 points from possible 51 points from 17 NPFL games. They will face Jigawa Golden Stars in their next league match at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna State.
