Volleyball: Lagos agog for 2022 Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup

The highly anticipated 2022 Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup will take place at the National Stadium, Surulere Lagos according to a member of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Honorable Famous Daunemigha.

Hon Daunemigha who doubles as the Chairman of Media and Publicity of Nigeria Volleyball Federation revealed that 14 teams consisting of 8 men’s and 6 women’s club sides will battle from 1st to 10th April 2022.

He said the Local Organizing Committee is working round the clock to ensure a hitch-free super cup.

The South South Representative said, “Lagos state will host the Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup after years of missing volleyball actions. The best clubs in the country will lock horns on the court to produce a champion.

In the men’s category, four teams from the Premier League (Kano Pillars, Nigeria Customs Service, NSCDC, and Nigeria Police Force) as well as four teams in the Division 1 Kada Kings, Kwara United, Wikki Spikers of Bauchi and Spartan Spikers of Adamawa State) will slug it out.

In the women’s category, defending Champions, NSCDC, Nigeria Customs Service, COAS Spikers, Nigeria Immigration Service, Kwara United, and Zamfara Queens are the six clubs featuring.”

“The Local Organizing Committee has put up measures n ensuring the 2022 Nigeria Volleyball Super Cup is a success and we cannot do it without the support of major stakeholders including sports journalists”, Hon Daunemigha added
