Kwara United condole with Lobi Stars over death of Team Manager Imenger
The management, staff, and players of NPFL leaders Kwara United wish to condole with Lobi Stars over the heartbreaking demise of their Team Manager Barnabas Imenger.
Nigerian football fraternities were all thrown into deep mourning on Monday following the painful death of the former Super Eagles star.
Until his death, Imenger was said to have battled against sickness before he embarked on a journey of no return.
In an official statement, Kwara United prayed that God should grant the late football icon eternal rest and be the strength for all his family members.
“Imenger’s death came a shocking one for us at Kwara United and we want to commiserate with everyone at Lobi Stars, his family and the people of Benue state.
“We pray that God in His Infinite Mercies will forgive him and give him eternal rest in Paradise,” Kwara United stated.
Imenger is the father of former Kwara United star Nenen who played 58 games for the Harmony Boys between 2010 and 2012 netting 23 goals.
Meanwhile, Lobi Stars are currently occupying 9th position on the NPFL table with 25 points after 16 games played so far.
